the best metallica song in my opinion is either one or fade to black. one wasn't just written off johnny got his gun. it was written based on the relationship between lars and james at that time. whick makes the first metallica song written on the actual metallica. fade to black has such a beautiful melody to it, but is followed by heavy as fuck power chords. and the lyrics have spoke for me many of times. but fuck every metallica song ever made except for the unforgiven II have been awesome.

My favourite song is "One" from the album "...And Justice For All".

for me the best song is Sanitarium because is really difficult for me to play as Master of Puppets.

Im gonna go with either Seek and Destroy, Creeping Death, or Trapped Under Ice. Those are some of my favorites. I really like King Nothing from load though too.

Wow that is a tough one. I would say that alot of Metallica's songs are tied for their best. Ride The Lightning, For Whom The Bell Tolls, Fade To Black, Battery, Master Of Puppets, Welcome Home (Sanitarium), Blackend, One, Enter Sandman, and the Unforgiven are my favorites. Those ten songs all rock, their are other great ones too. The Day That Never Comes is a pretty good song from the new album, a soon to be classic.

Motorbreath. Kill 'Em All is my favorite Metallica album, so just about anything off that album would work, but Motorbreath just seems to have that groove to it that the other tracks don't possess. At least in my opinion.

Fight Fire With Fire for me , i just love the speed riffs ,beats and beautiful solos of that epic opener of one of the best thrash albums ever

Unforgiven has always had the meaning of Indivisual vs. Society or in a smaller scale Indivisual vs. Family in Dyers Eve, for me...and that's why i never get tired of listening to 'em over and over again.
