At the graves?
lol
Ya, perhaps they named themselves after the King Diamond track?
Or they really like At The Gates.

Account deleted Written by Troy Killjoy on 07.04.2012 at 04:27 To be honest I realised recently that their debut was really nothing special. I doubt I'll give the new one much attention. I suspect it'll be another one of those atmospheric black metal albums that are falling out of the sky in droves

Xlix, a depressive BM band from Japan. Preetty solid. http://www.myspace.com/0dr (the first song of the player. I hate when labels don't put Mp3s next to the album on their website.) A band that will surprise you at every turn: Mazaru. Don't know if it should be here or in the rock section, but the Metal passages are there so... Just discovered Ice Dragon. Bluesy Doom Rock/Metal à la Sabbath. Really great stuff you can buy the album for whathever the hell you want right here

http://thosewholiebeneath.bandcamp.com/album/antichrist-ep Blackened brutal death metal, three-man outfit from the United States, 11-minute EP. Melts your face and doesn't require a lot of time to do it.

Account deleted Written by Apotheosis666 on 09.04.2012 at 05:48 Actually... pretty fine stuff. I only skimmed it because it's 4.30am but I like what I heard (aside from the vocals on the second and final tracks, too europop for my tastes, I rather like the pure instrumental approach). Will give a proper listen tomorrow but sounds like great instrumental (mostly) cyber progressive metal, even if it's admitedly not the sort of thing I would usually go for. Of course a potential issue with this is the artwork's striking similarity to Amorphis' 'Eclipse' album

Apologies if this has already been posted. Australian band Nous released their first EP called "Eobiont" which is pretty fucking excellent. Recommended. Experimental Sludge Metal.

Great music and a heady start in the death metal career. Hailing from Colorado, Nexhymn is a female-fronted death metal band born from the ashes of Throcult in 2010. Album streaming here

Who wants some super-obscure atmospheric black metal done right (if not original - more than a few WitTR leanings here)? Sure you do:

Account deleted Written by Troy Killjoy on 12.04.2012 at 17:22 It's surprisingly nice. Truth be told this is the only song I've heard so far so I can't speak for the whole album but I have a feeling it'll be grand. Still not sure about that Inverloch. It's definitely good but not sure just how good.

12.04.2012 - 20:01 Written by BlackOakDecline on 12.04.2012 at 19:55 Decent shit for sure. I'm digging the balance of raw, chaotic aggression and the laid-back, more relaxed approach. +1 from Kingston, Ontario.

I posted this in the post/sludge/atmo thread but it is sooo good (my album of the year so far in 2012) I wanna let others know. Instrumental post-rock/atmo/shoegaze not unlike Alcest and Les Discrets (I believe a band member is from Lantlos)

13.04.2012 - 00:20 Written by InnerSelf on 13.04.2012 at 00:15 Thanks for the info Inner! I read that the band had some songs done, stopped for a while and decided to finish the record after they were thru with school. So maybe the persistance indicates they are serious about the band and won't break up.

Man, I remember Líam from absolute years ago before the blackpostgaze boom ('My Journey to the Sky' I think). I actually liked that kind of thing back then. Might check out the new one for posterity.
