There is a problem, in 90's we must remove Sepultura, Pantera, Slayer, Megadeth and so on to put Metallica in the top of the list.
But yes, in 21st century they are better than Limp Bizkit, Korn and even Linkin Park..

Well, I agree. In the eighties Megadeth wasn't good at all, except for a couple of songs. Rust in Peace thought was a masterpiece, alas, in the '90s. And Testament seriously were better.

seeing as voting is based upon 80's MetallicA, i don't think "blind fanboyism" has anything to do with them winning. they released a lot of good quality material and earned their votes.

furthermore, for every "blind metallica fanboy" that voted for them just because they are Metallica, there is probably one "blind metallica hater" who voted the other way because they hate everything Metallica released after the decade ended.

seeing as voting is based upon 80's MetallicA, i don't think "blind fanboyism" has anything to do with them winning. they released a lot of good quality material and earned their votes.

No one denies the ability of Metallica in 80's.. The only reason that I didn't vote for them, is because I like "Reign In Blood" by Slayer so I voted for the Slayer.. Metallica was my second choice.
But this poll is limited to 80's... those era which Metallica was a Thrash Metal pioneer. But what about 90's and early 00's?

I personally hate Metallica after 80's, but I'm not blind... Why should I hate a thing with no reason???
I do not like bands who become a commercial rock band... Whether Metallica or my favorite bands.
They just made videos and their videos was showed in satellite channels, so they become famous in the world.. then after a short time an overrated band.
You are not in Iran to understand what I mean... Everyone know metal by Metallica, Korn, Linkin Park... I don't like this.

No one said that Metallica shouldnt be here. And I wouldnt have started an argument if I knew I was wrong. The best thrash band in the 80s, just like pretty anything involving music is an opinion. Just because YOU think that Metallica is the best during the 80s doesnt mean that its a fact.

He still never said Metallica shouldnt be here. He said it would be much more interesting. Which I agree with. I like Metallica as much as the next guy, dont get me wrong. I just think that its pretty obvious whos gonna get the most votes.

metallica is the easy favorite, after that, idk. it's really close between all 3
