At the graves?

lol

Ya, perhaps they named themselves after the King Diamond track?

Or they really like At The Gates.

Man, I remember Líam from absolute years ago before the blackpostgaze boom ('My Journey to the Sky' I think). I actually liked that kind of thing back then. Might check out the new one for posterity.

It is very post-rock-ish JOOE. That is my kind of thing not so sure yours

Some extreme neoclassical metal, or neoclassical black/death or.. something like that:

Yes- that one did impress me. Thanks for the recommendation. (BTW, LOVE the Labyrinth avatar!)

They need to improve the production a fair bit, but I felt it had something different going for it. And thanks! One of my favourite films in my childhood, still is actually haha

Who wants some super-obscure atmospheric black metal done right (if not original - more than a few WitTR leanings here)? Sure you do:

Tried this, didn't dig it Production is pretty awful...

No Youtube clip but a bandcamp for Book Of Sand's new album: HERE

Book Of Sand have become a genuine, bona fide unique entity. Their music is hard to describe. Kinda muffled, swampy ambient black metal with various experiment elements and approaches like violins and such. It's really just best if you listen to it yourself.

The quasi-infamous Metal Archives wank-feature 'Caspian' gave one of their albums a "0%" which should in fact tell you that it's probably a pretty good band altogether.

It's actually quite good. Just checked M/A and it says they have 4 other releases (one EP). Haha yes that 0% review is a bit shit. Not gonna stop me from checking them out.

I recommend the new offering from the Lebanese death/thrash metal band Innerguilt. Not very original, but there are some great riffs and solos in there.

I'm a big Shining fan (only disappointed with VI thus far) but the latest EP doesn't exactly look like a must-have release... More like something to check out via Youtube just to see what the covers sound like.

Some not bad epic-ish doom that people might dig. Vocals can be a bit shaky at times but better than nothing I guess.
