Curious to hear how new singer sounds like (ex-Firewind with an impossible name) as replacing mighty JB is not the easiest job.
Wished JB stayed with Spiritual though I like Grand Magus a lot, but my interest for GM goes slightly down as their artistic direction does not match with my favourite period (Monument).

Great album and tracks 1 through 7 (and 9) are all great for their own reasons. They all just have this great bluesy feel which Amott seems to really understand and is able to properly incorporate it into his songs to maximum effect. The album just feels much more focused and determined (at least those tracks) and mature than Spiritual Beggars previous albums, as if its a primary project rather than a side gig. Sadly the album kind of falters when Amott strays from the blues and into more "contemporary" melodies like Concrete Horizon. Maybe its not interesting and maybe its just such a drop from the excellent Coming Home and Spirit of the Wind. I almost feel tracks 7 and 10 (maybe 11 too) could have been cut, which just would have made the whole album experience so much better.

Though I like the new vocals in songs like Spirit of the Wind, i just miss JB. His vocals style was more SB'ish I think. Like in Lost in Yesterday, I think the song lost energy with him... Great album though.
