I see no one has mentioned Black Shape Of Nexus. Absolutely crushing, utterly riff-based sludge (except the Microbarome Meetings album which is pure drone) from Germany. They have a couple of releases available for download on their website, especially the Live in Mannheim tape is devastating. I've given a shot to pretty much their whole discography and you can't go wrong with these guys.

According to Google it's a previously unreleased track that appears on a compilation of theirs called Various Failures.

Nice stuff.
I have been to ThunderBay twice! Back in the late '80s I swam (competitively) at the Canada Games Complex, wow what a facility!

I love it there, the gym is excellent.

I haven't been to southern Wisconsin though :/ Only as far south as Eau Clair, which is as far north as you can get pretty much

Mostly hick towns in the northern-middle parts. Madison and Milwaukee of course are in the southern part and once you hit those you are only 90 miles away from Chicago. Road Trip!

Tagged alternative rock, I say "baaah" to that. POST ROCK from the UK, the album has a lot of variety on it, not one song sounds the same.

He is! Got to know many quality bands thanks to him. There was another guy by the name of "Skeksis86" who used to do quality Black Metal compilations. I think his account got deleted or something.. can't find him on Youtube anymore.
