I have this debate often with Obituary fans...
Which of the band classic are your favorite? Please detail why.



Not sure myself of what to choose...
TTC is much more riffed-out, multi-riffed and old-school flavored,
Its approach is on the context of the riffs and the "smaller picture", as just creating death metal well done.
Retribution is more advanced and cares more of the "big picture", the songwriting has improved and the aesthetic has changed to a more modern death metal album, a stiff bull.

i don't care for MC, but you have to give an explanation for your choice in the first post... quickly before Nervel sniffs you out and locks the topic lol

Fuck, I can't decide. It would have been easier for me to choose if you included every album, since The Will to Kill is my favorite. Anyways, both of those albums are fucking cool, but right now I'm leaning more towards The Ten Commandments, but I'm not confident enough to vote yet.

I guess I'll vote for The Ten Commandments, but it was a tough decision. That album is just more energetic overall, and I think the drumming slightly edges out Retribution, but they're both sick.
