I've noticed that for some reason this band isn't very popular or known here on MS, which is a shame because it's a really good band. Originally from Germany, Nocte Obducta is a black metal band that started playing what we'd call tr00 black metal, and as time went on they started evolving practically with every album into more progressive stuff and incorporating elements from almost every other metal subgenre.

Anyway, I'm a huge fan of this band, I'd even dare to say it's my favorite metal band, and so I wanted for other MS users who also like or know this band to discuss about it, just like with any other thread about any band. Doesn't look like too many people are firing up...anything in this thread, lol. There aren't too many people that are familiar with the band though... or Agrypnie for that matter. I have never seen them live, however, I have seen them under the Agrypnie flag and it wasn't super impressive. I'm sure Nocte Obducta is a different story though (live).

Well, they are different bands. Agrypnie is just the other band in which Marcel is in, but i like that one too. Although Nocte is a looot better!

On MA it shows two members, Torsten and Patrick Baumann, but I'm not Mr.Know-It-All of band line-ups... the band just...IS. I'm tired as fuck... man, I feel like I'm gonna pass out at work. jskdlfjklfjkdlfssssssssssssssssssssssssssssss *head smacking down on keyboard*

I just listened to Sequenzen einer Wanderung and I have to say that I did expect it to be better, though it didn't disappoint me at all. Ende is really nice, a bit too athmospherical, maybe, but still great; and Nebel was great too. I do think that both songs could've been shorter with no problem at all, but still, a very good album, though I prefer their previous things before they disbanded.

Both released new albums today (11/11/11). Agrypnie actually released EP.
