Out of these 3 metalcore bands, which one do you think is the best? The powerful All That Remains, the boys of Bullet for my Valentine, or the overall talented Avenged Sevenfold? (R.I.P. Rev)

For me its between All That Remains and Avenged Sevenfold because I never really could get into Bullet For My Valentine...

I have to go with All That Remains, although I still really like A7X (their first album Seventh Trumpet is freaking amazing!)...

and yeah we are all going to miss REV R.I.P.

To me its A7X VS BFMV, ATR are pretty good, but M Shadows and Matt just have the same style of signing to me, plus Synester's guitar work is better so i chose A7X

Bullet got me hung up on heavy metal ...even though they're not any more my fav band,I still love them

Bullet is imo by far the best heavy-thrash/metalcore band. riffs are genius, drums are great, lyrics are heavy and catchy, attitude is far more "metal" than any euro flower metal band. WIN.

Gotta go Bullet. Paige is the man.

Cant decide between Bullet and All That Remains. i liked them both.

Avenged Sevenfold though now awful made the best albums in their career (Waking The Fallen and City Of Evil) in my opinion, so I'm going with them.

I personally voted for Avenged Sevenfold, up until last year I probably would have voted for Bullet for My Valentine, but Nightmare was a masterpiece in my opinion, and was the darkest album any of these bands have released.

All That Remains. They're the only that seems to have much "metal" in them. BFMV went from "somewhat promising" to weak, bland pop. I could write a novel on why A7X are terrible, so I won't even bother.

If you count Shadows Fall and Devildriver as metalcore (I know that some do) then they are the only bands of that genre that I really have much time for.

Ive never heard All That Remains, so can't comment on them. Ive heard very little of BFMV or A7X, but what I have heard hasn't been very good.

Wow thats ridiculously tough - for me its really between AX7 and B4MV but after just buying 'Fever' I am gonna have 2 say it absolutely skyrocketed Bullet to the top

Ohh thank you that's kind of you anyway i don't have anything against metalcore i love this genre, but what pisses me of, thier clean voices its just hit my nerves.

I picked All That Remains due to their earlier stuff, their clean vocals are just weak and pathetic now which makes the horrible song writing more apparent.

Avenged Severnfold has the gayest annoying clean vocals I've heard and the guy should be a registered sex offender and pedophile just because of it.

I liked Bullet's Tears Don't Fall until my ear sodomy cleared up and the sounds of butt raping were no longer pleasant.

I have similar feelings in a way. Protest The Hero's clean vocals are actually fairly decent compared to these bands. I always prefer to lean toward the more hardcore type metalcore bands.

? Everytime I mention A7X everyone says how shity Shadows vocals are. I fucking love them, hes one of my favorite vocalists. I geuss Im the only one.

Thats because most people noticed that he's got 2 vocal styles: 1) James Hetfield wannabe, or 2) Axl Rose wannabe. That whole band sounds as uninspired as that though, he's not alone there.

I picked Bullet. They are probably the only metalcore band I have seen so far which doesn't give the impresion "Look at us, we are trying to be a badass metal band". I mean just looking at a A7X band photo makes me think of the word "poser". Also, out of the 3 bands here, I think that Bullet has the most songwriting and performing talent.

They all kinda suck, but gun to my head i would have to say Avenged Sevenfold. There drum work and lyrics are not all that bad

All That Remains.. Phil Labonte vocals is fucking awesome Imo.. i think that ATR is overall better in their: musicianship, lyrics, creativity.. and so on Imo

ATR, One of the first bands I got into. Never really liked the others.

All That Remains

Their first three albums are pretty good, the fourth blows horse dick (except for Chiron ) the fifth is okay-okay and the new one seems to be not-so-good either based on the three tracks revealed so far. But The Fall Of Ideals is a very boss album. I can't really stand BFMV save for a couple of their stuff and Avenged's first couple of albums are okay-ish but doesn't go any further than that.

I've got an appreciation of A7X, but I'm going for ATR. BFMV... well, they kind of suck.

Out of these, I've almost listened to all three bands. On a scale to 1 to Kim Kardashian, I would rate ATR as 8, A7X as 7 and BFMV as 5.

If you ask my personal favorites out of them, I would go for All That Remains.

Avenged Sevenfold was one of those bands that got me into metal, I still love 'em today but All That Remains is something different. Don't hate me for saying this either, but ATR really sounds like Melodic Death Metal in a few of their songs. BFMV, I like the guitars but the clean vocals sound wimpy as hell, otherwise they're a decent band. When it comes down to it, ATR has my vote.

ATR for me.

I haven't heard of any of BFMV and the only A7X album I really thought was decent was Waking the Fallen.
