Guess I’ll try this album once the alcohol starts to kick in. I remember the climax of An Unbroken Moment to be one of my favorite black metal moments when I started to really get into the genre.

One of the best atmospheric black metal releases I've probably heard. It has such a quality sound and dark mesmerizing atmosphere, and the vocals are immense, especially when the clean vocals start on thr last track. The riffs are very melancholic, it's dark and uplifting at the same time. It's the perfect album for lifting up your spirits when your feeling down.

I've had the album after this since it was released but only recently got around to checking this one out. It's easy to see why Torn Beyond Reason resonated with so many people and why it's rated much higher than the other albums, it captures the raw emotion and everything else this project had to offer in its best execution. Everything in this album feels very much alive. The guitars, drums, and vocals all shine in their own ways and work together to build a simple yet encompassing atmosphere and it's much more memorable than the other albums.
