Man, you don't see Live's 'Throwing Copper' mentioned much on MS. If I could rate it on here it would easily get a 10, not least for reminding me of my first girlfriend every time I hear it. Love that record.

I'd go with a 9, but indeed it's a fantastic album and (for obvious reasons) not mentioned on this site often (ever?).

Well I searched "Throwing Copper" and my post there was the only one to pop up. Probably not much point doing a search for "live" huh duh

That's unfortunate. I make sure to sing "Lightning Crashes" at least once a week. Others should do the same.

Fo' shizzle, probably my fave track on that record, though it's hard to choose just one.

An amazing album. "I Alone" is the standout for me...although "Lightning Crashes" is not too far behind.

There's some good stuff on that list. Also some stuff I wouldn't piss on if it was on fire.
haha...fair enough. wouldn't mind knowing what that latter stuff is!

Awesome list man. I saw Alice in Chains live when they toured Australia for Dirt. Also saw Live when they toured for Throwing Copper. I saw Faith No More at my local uni when they toured for Angel Dust - awesome show. Also seen Tool in Australia when they've toured for all their albums. And I was born and live in Canberra, which produced Alchemist, so great to see Lunasphere on your list. Seen them numerous times, in venues that were the size of postage stamps. Also got a soft spot for Dr. Feelgood and Hysteria. What a trip down memory lane. Big regret that I missed Sepultura when they toured down under in 1992 for Arise.

always good to meet a like-minded person on here. am very envious of your Dirt, Throwing Copper and Angel Dust gigs. Have seen all those bands, but much later in their career, and AIC was missing Layne of course. have seen Alchemist a few times...a real shame they're no longer producing music.
Have seen Tool a few times also. they always put on an amazing show!
have you seen Def Leppard live? I saw them 2 years ago when they were out here...and they were sensational!

Alchemist are no more but have you seen Adam Aguis' new band The Levitation Hex? They are good! I've never seen Def Leppard live. I sort of lost interest in them after Hysteria.

You lucky bugger - all those classic bands at the peak of their career. I was still pissing and shitting my nappies at the time Dirt came out (12 years old in 1992).
Yep, they played the Horden Pavilion in Sydney and it was a wild show. I lost my jumper and my wrist watch - both lost in the mosh. Then after the show we were hanging out in Kings Cross and noticed both Layne Staley and Mike Inez walking past so we had a chat with them and they both signed my tour t-shirt (which takes pride of place in my shirt collection). Layne seemed to be under the heavy influence of something intoxicating - I could hardly understand what he was mumbling. Mike was very alert and cool.
