I think the cover is appropriate for the image of early XXs surrealism/horror kind of thingy the band cultivates nowadays. Not too bad.

Its definitely not one of the worst covers ever, but I am really not liking the new Huntress album cover at all.

Maybe doing a glow effect on text was actually cool back in 1995, I dunno as I wasn't alive then, but I literally laughed out loud when I saw the cover for "Slaughter of the Soul".



And Dance of Death is definitely the worst cover art ever, I don't know how any thought that was a good idea.

I don't consider that album's cover to be that terrible.

I do however agree that the cover of Iron Maiden's Dance Of Death is truly one of a kind terrible. It would be fine without those CGI people around the Grim Reaper but it would still be rather 'empty'. But with that terrible CGI it's really bad. This surprises me considering IM's covers are otherwise excellent.

The bad part is the text, it looks like something a 15 year old would make in powerpoint after first discovering text effects. I'm also personally not a fan of the monochrome palette and muted shading, makes everything in the background kinda just blend together.

Sadly, Immortal has one of the most ridiculous covers. But I guess there are much, much worse covers...

This cover always confused me. Like, there's a seal-headed sumo wrestler with an axe, an aeroplane and pile of skulls. So it has something to do with Japan and planes? Huh?

Btw. I love the band and the album.

They were certainly going for something there lol

I hope this wasn't posted before but god. It's not even that bad technically, but the idea and the execution are just... It looks incredibly silly, for a band that really doesn't try that I think. You can also add the cover where he put the Girl from The Ring into it...

You're welcome. Just use an image hosting site like IMGBB. It's a quick and easy workaround if you're struggling with server restrictions.

Sunbather from Deafheaven is a bad one.

Even though this album is incredible...
