Some people say this is the top of Unleashed work, that Shadows In The deep is for Unleashed what Master Of Puppets is for Metallica, well let's analyze this one now.

Johnny Hedlund is the master mind of Unleashed, not only did he wrote all of the lyrics in this album, but he also wrote all of the arrangements and music in it except for a couple of songs which are "A Life Beyond" and "Shadows In The Deep" where the music was written by Fredrik.

Excellent sophomore album! You gotta love that old school death metal sound, with fast tempos and crushing riffs.
The band also does a great job covering "Countess Bathory".

If you ask me, this album and the debut are worth a couple of spins. Though they dont even come close to the greatness of the classic you mention here.
Other than these two albums I didnt find a single instant in their discography that is really worth visiting. Let me know if you experience otherwise.

I need to listen to their other albums, but all I can say is that this album shows a perfect mix of the buzzsaw sound of Entombed, the sickened vocals of Asphyx, the devastating riffs of Bolt Thrower, and the evil atmosphere of Necrophobic!
What more could one want from early 90s death metal?

I remember that I enjoyed this album and their debut quite a bit at the time of their release. And I still consider them solid old-school dm today, though I dont return to them any more.
The rest of their catalogue I found too generic.
