Hexis's first full-length continues musically in the same vein as their debut EP XI, which has since been parceled out in fragments over a steady stream of EPs and splits. Abalam boasts an arsenal of all-new tracks to signal Hexis's move into a better-established position as a band.

Recommended for fans of Lord Mantis and Indian, Hexis are pretty much the sonic equivalent of jumping into a septic tank. Proceed with caution.

Low rating, Hexis kicks ass tho, so I'm sure this is pretty good.

A tad boring, given a couple listens, but still a good album.

I don't mind the arrhythmic structure at all. It sure will make me listen to it less, but I found it interesting. Hexis are good at those sudden bursts of power, I love those. That's mybe why I dislike the last long track.
