UPDATE on 05.02.2014: After announcing that they had started recording their fourth album, the guys in Alestorm just revealed the title of what will be the successor of 2011's Back Through Time: the forthcoming album will be named Sunset On The Golden Age, and will be released in the early summer via Napalm Records.

Vocalist Christopher Bowes had this to say: "This is gonna blow all your expectations as to what an Alestorm album is all about. Over the past couple of years we've been writing non-stop, and we've come up with a ton of badass material. Some of this stuff is catchiest pirate party anthems you've ever heard, with choruses that'll make you want to raise a pint of rum up high and sing your guts out. And for the fans of the epic stuff, we've got some songs that hit the 10-minute mark, with lyrical themes about historical events and crazy mythological madness. It's gonna rule!"

Original news, published on 03.02.2014: Pirate metal masters Alestorm have good news to start off your day. They will enter the studio to finally record their fourth full-length, the successor to 2011's Back Through Time. The guys have recently released their live DVD Live At The End Of The World. Now it's time for a new album.

Here you have the official statement by the band: "NEW ALBUM RECORDING! The time has come! Tomorrow we head to LSD Studio in Lübeck Germany, to record the 4th full-length Alestorm album.
