As it turns out, fans of Avantasia won't have to wait that long for the follow-up to The Mystery Of Time. In fact, in January 2016, Avantasia are going to release the sequel to The Mystery Of Time. The next chapter of the saga will be called Ghostlights. After an Edguy album last year, Tobias Sammet has been keeping himself busy. In March, the all-star ensemble will kick off the Ghostlights world tour, and the tickets are on presale now. Who's excited about the new album?

Mastermind Tobias Sammet commented: "Folks, I've spent months in the basement working on new material: Amazing stuff, diverse, epic, a little progressive even. Long tracks. Orchestra. Celtic stuff... We're still in the middle of the process, but it's so inspiring to work with all these great musicians and come up with a new chapter of Avantasia. And YES - against all odds - WE'LL DO A FUCKING TOUR! In March we'll hit the road, and we're gonna play over three hours to do material of all eras, from The Metal Opera to the new album. I definitely wanna make this the biggest Avantasia show we have ever put on stage! I am excited, and I can't wait to finish and unleash the beast. An EP/single is also planned to be released this autumn. The world tour will kick off in Berlin on March 4th, 2016.
