Alright, I confirm Laure sings on this, and that baroque music is still there, in spite of what the teaser tracks made me think, so I'm reassured.

The songs here are more streamlined and cohesive, but that's not what I expect from Igorrr, a project that appealed to me thanks to its insane mix of styles, sounds and arrangements, akin to sound collage. Compared to his past albums, this is much more restrained. And I expected a better, more inspired guitar work and riffs, since he's trying to take his project into a more metal direction. Edit: my opinion of the album has improved a bit. I'm starting to accept it for what it is, without expecting it to sound like his early (and crazier) records - and some songs are really good, like the three-combo Himalaya Massive Ritual, Lost In Introspection and Overweight Poesy, but for me it still sits a bit lower on his discography.
---- Their old stuff is better.

Huh? So that was it? I was expecting some sort of übercreative mind-melting avant garde never made before, but all I got was just a symphonic metal(ish) album with some Middle Eastern influences, techno beats, polka, basic death metal guitars and random screaming. Very disappointing.

Well I see that as a negative. It has kinda become a metal band with Igorrr in it. Aside from Very Noise, this is a mediocre metal music.
