Greetings,

After amassing a library of nearly 10,000 songs (mostly metal), I decided it was time to create a list of the greatest (modern) metal albums: http://metalstorm.net/users/list.php?list_id=6326

The list will be broken up to spare the viewer from having to go through 2k+ albums in one list. Please let me know what you think of this first part of the list, which albums should be added, etc. The rest of the list may be posted on Rateyourmusic as they seems to have a more extensive catalogue, I will post updates in this thread for those who are interested.

Appreciate the advice and some thumbs ups to increase visibility of the list.

I'm definitely unfamiliar with a lot of the picks, but I enjoy the selection of the ones I do know. Perhaps it would be better to have a sort of rating for each of them.

All ratings are 8 stars or higher for me, I'm not going to be adding individual ratings because with the amount of albums I will be adding it will make that far too tedious. Thank you for the feedback though!

Not necessarily a numerical rating, but giving some of them a * to specify that it's a bit more special would make it easier to navigate through.

I will consider it but also would like the person viewing the list to make up their own minds which of the albums they like the most, adding stars to different albums will likely influence which ones they decide to listen to, which defeats the point of having it be focused on variety.
