This was a little disappointing compared to their 2019 release (I had high expectations). It's still a good album but they went a little wild with the technical and progressive elements this time around. So I strongly suggest their other album in case this didn't sit right with you. It's much more coherent.

I listened to this following the recommendation of Ansercanagicus (thank you!) in the comments section of my Eternal Champion review. If you like blackened heavy metal but don't appreciate lame harsh vocals (which is what everyone seems to be doing these days), this one is for you. Very riffy, a bit reminiscent of Mercyful Fate, and very enjoyable. For someone like me who could never get into King Diamond's over-the-top vocals, this sounds really good and the singer fits the music well. As quieted_darkness stated above, the debut is even better and both albums are just over half an hour long, which means there is no fat present.
