Citron - Drummer Passed Away
Czech veterans Citron recently confirmed that their long-time drummer, Radim Pařízek, has died at the age of 67. He was part of the band for more than 40 years.
Full statement from the group: "With a heavy heart and tears in our eyes, we received the news that Radim Pařízek had died. It happened on 2. 3. 2021 at 18:45. Radim succumbed to the complications associated with his recent operation. Sincere condolences to the family and all his loved ones.
"Radim Pařízek was a man with an extremely wide professional and personal scope of interests. As a musician and leader of rock legend, Citron has conquered the highest goals. The legendary metal band under his baton completed a successful tour of Europe and the United States, sold more than 1 million records and in 1988 won the Golden Nightingale. Radim's metal heart beats on.
"He was no less successful in the field of media business, which he has been working on since 1998, when he founded Radio Čas, one of the most listened to stations in Moravia and Silesia. Of course, time goes on, as do all its other media and telecommunications activities, including multiplexes. We believe that under his patronage, his business will continue to thrive. Radim always faced life and never stopped in front of any obstacle. No goal was out of reach for him. He stays with us."
