The second Carma album – “Ossadas” – released on March 3rd, 2023.

“Ossadas” is a 68-minutes-long immersive and conceptual album inspired by the Conchada Cemetery, located in Coimbra, Portugal. The music captures the funereal mood and channels it through the blend of Funeral Doom, Black Metal and Dark Ambient. Echoing drums, profound bass pulsations, dense multilayered guitars, grievous vocalizations, sorrowful choirs, lugubrious ambient sounds – each and every detail of “Ossadas” is aimed to transmit the funeral ambience in the most authentic form. The lyrics, written in Portuguese, explore various cemeterial aspects, such as the architecture, the burials and the atmosphere, and the related feelings – fatalism, futility, loss, mourning, longing, among others.

“Monumento” is based on the toccata from “Suite Gothique” originally written by Léon Boëllmann in 1895.

“Ossadas” is released through Monumental Rex on CD digipak with a 24-page booklet featuring funerary art from the Conchada Cemetery, as well as a special handmade edition. All artwork was meticulously crafted by Infected Minds.

The debut Lacrau album – “Axioma” – released on September 22nd, 2023.

“Axioma” is a conceptual album that combines Depressive, Black and Doom Metal elements to tell a story inspired by the legendary Scandinavian senicide ritual. It is told that the practice consisted in elderly people throwing themselves, or being thrown, from precipices after becoming unable to take care of themselves or perform everyday tasks. The lyrics, written in Portuguese, describe the ritual from different angles, while the musical soundscape seamlessly represents the ebb and flow of the narrated events.

The long-expected second Everto Signum album – “Beastiary” – out on November 1st 2024 via Monumental Rex.

After ten years of silence, Everto Signum skulk out of chasmic caverns to unleash “Beastiary” – a concept album inspired by destructive powers of Nature. The band stays true to their elemental background by writing an immersive story that guides the listener through a chain reaction of natural disasters. These calamities are beastialized – manifested as wild uncontrollable beasts exhibiting intrinsic animalistic shapes, traits and behaviours. Written in English, the expressively poetic lyrical narrative portrays a journey from an ice-covered mountain top through a valley, down to the depths of a meromictic lake and finally into a perennial forest to witness the dreadful wrath of ancient forces.
