While the re-recorded versions of Morbid Visions and Bestial Devastation have merit to them in terms of bringing out the musicianship that was hidden underneath the shitty production, this one would be more of a guilty-pleasure album for me. I think the original version's production was already passable and I never really felt the need for this album to be re-recorded. Especially when the re-release of the original album had a new version of Troops of Doom on it (apparently from the Arise recording sessions), it gave the impression that the sound on this album was already accepted as perfect.

Though like I said, this is gonna be a guilty pleasure album for me. I do like the new version of Escape to the Void quite a lot and yes, the sound is definitely improved. Fuck it, why not? I'm so happy with MV/BD that I'll gladly take this as a bonus. That said, please do not touch Beneath the Remains. It's my favorite Sepultura album and IMHO it doesn't leave much room for improvement anyway. If you really need to get it out of your system, just re-record a best-of-the-rest compilation. Hell, I'd even let you pick a song or two off Roots as long as you leave BNR alone.

Yes, I want this. Just don't re-record Beneath and Arise and we're fine.

Arise I don't think they will re-record it, the music does not match their current style. But Beneath I totally see them re-recording it.

Blasted it yesterday and it was godly. Can’t wait to see them play this shit in two days!

That being said: This is where they have to stop. There is zero meaning in re-recording anything else. From Beneath The Remains and up the production is how it should be.

Damn, another stellar rerecording. Max pulling a Harden cause he is hitting threes.

I wanna hear them rerecord Beneath the Remains just for the hell of it.

I like the re-recording. I also enjoyed the Blind Guardian re-recording although i find it completely unnecessary.

What I personally don’t get is that these two (In my opinion) “compilations” of re-recordings are considered new material and can be found on metalstorms top 20 albums of 2024. I think re-recordings of already released material should be considered as compilation albums, so they don’t take the spots from great newly released music.

Just my opinion

They are not going to touch Beneath the Remains and of course anything after that. Max has explicitly said so in a recent interview.
