Savatage - Update On First Album Since 2001
In a new interview with 'Metal Pilgrim', the members of Savatage offered an update on the band's long-awaited new album, confirming that they have been in the studio working on at least eight or nine new songs. Tentatively titled Curtain Call, the follow-up to 2001's Poets And Madmen is expected to drop sometime in 2025 or 2026, and frontman Jon Oliva is said to be involved with the making of the record despite his recent health issues. It's been over six years since Metal Allegiance – the metal supergroup featuring guitarist Alex Skolnick (Testament), bassist David Ellefson (ex-Megadeth), drummer Mike Portnoy (Dream Theater) and bassist and songwriter Mark Menghi – released their second and latest album so far Volume II: Power Drunk Majesty.
