I think I mentioned this in my
NesfârÅŸite review, but Andrei really does have a huge number of projects and I'm glad that
E-an-na is getting so much of his attention, because they're quickly becoming one of my favorite folk metal bands.
Jiana was a cut above the rest even in a fairly straightforward style with a Romanian spin, and then
NesfârÅŸite added a lot of new ideas to that - but
Fascinathanatango and
M.L.R. push a lot of boundaries, and I wish that
E-an-na got more credit as innovators within and without metal. I can't wait to hear what other projects they were hinting at. Can we get a ska crossover?
Also, I'm tickled to learn that this Bogdan character is not, in fact, some famous manele artist, as was my natural assumption from seeing him listed as a collaborator. I'm glad that that came up in the interview, because I was stumped by my inability to find much about him when I was reviewing the EP.
