First Demo of this band from USA, "Districtia Terra" is a good old album of Death Metal. However there are a lot of influences on this CD from Black to Thrash and even good old Heavy Metal. This is clearly Melodic, but it's not an album of Gothenburg Death Metal so all the ones who like solid Death and still love melodies will have to keep an eye on this combo.

"Districtia Terra" is interesting because it's a mix of a lot of different musics. The construction of the riffs is similar to the one of Thrash but the rhythms and the anger that we can find in the music are evidently near of Death Metal. The hoarse vocals on the other hand flirt with Death and Black Metal so as you can see, there are a lot of influences on this CD. And it sounds good at the end, the five songs are catchy and at least it's not a new Children Of Bodom or In Flames, just a good technical Death that didn't forget a lot of melodic aspects.

It's powerful as hell but however the songs stay in your mind. It's brutal but not too much and at the end I'm sure that a lot of people will be able to listen to it. From Death Metal fans to Heavy or Thrash Metal ones.

I can only some really few problems like the ones with the production. It's not perfect but of course it's just a demo so we cannot ask a lot but nowadays we can find many Demos with professional sound so... Don't understand that it is impossible to listen to this album but sometime the sound is a bit weak especially the one of lead guitar that sound a bit too metallic for me.

But all in all Apothys is a really cool surprise and with this first Demo I have some good hopes for the upcoming album of the band. They have something special in their music no doubt that we will hear some good stuff about them soon.
