Classic Monster Of Obscene Productions: Highly Recommended!

When Isacaarum arrived to the metal scene there were a lot of Grindcore bands talking about sex, gore and other damaged things; These Czechs grabbed those elements and then carved a whole different level of sickness. Everything started in 1999 when the band released a split with Ingrowing that contained a different type of lyrics, more garish than expected actually; but it wasn't until the year 2000 that these guys caught the attention of many metal-heads from all over the globe by releasing "Curbed", one of the sickest albums of that time.

After "Curbed" arrived we saw bands like Fornicator, Semen, Creamface, Lividity and many more, bombarding the scene with similar approaches, this only shows the massive strike that Isacaarum achieved with the album I'm holding in my hands right now; and no wonder. This album it's a blasting experience from the beginning to the end; its raw end crops most of the aggressive parts of the band's material, giving us an overture of what they would release in the future.

After so many years, and after many amazing releases like "Cunthackers" and the recently released "Shibari Kata And Other Practices", "Curbed" is still one of the most brutal assaults by Isacaarum. It doesn't sound as produced and as skilled as newer material, but that's the beauty of it, you'll get hostile music with straight brutality without pompous arrangements, just one of the most aggressive albums in the genre, you can't ask for more now can you?

This piece is a must in any Grindcore collection; if you already have bands like Gut, Waco Jesus, Torsofuck or Anal Blast in your shelves, and you don't have this album in there, believe me, you're missing the world.

Best Tracks: "Mentulam Caco!/Hydraulic Kamasutra", "Arts Of Farts", "Penis Kamikaze"
