I don't get mixing and cocktails thing. Whisky on the rocks vodka straight from freezer ice cold that's it

Oh dear Cynic... Whisky is Scottish national pride and joy. Don't say thinks like that in front of Scots cause you will end up in big trouble

Beer has taste, alcohol as well

Whereas if I just want to get drunk I won't pour any effort into making a cocktail, I'll just mix the alcohol with whatever I have that tastes ok

Cocktails and stuff can taste really good but I feel like the alcohol actually makes an otherwise perfectly good mix taste worse

I don’t. Never drink it straight, it’s all about finding the perfect cocktail with flavors and balance. Nobody drinks alcohol straight for taste. They drink it for the buzz.

I still can't believe people actually enjoy the taste of alcohol
