I haven't been able to listen to all of this years top albums (As voted on by MS Users ) but, I tried dammit. This year was a bit disappointing as other years have had many more 9's and so on. Still a lot of great to really good releases either way.

Seven Kingdoms - The Fire Is Mine
2012 - I fell in love with this album WITHOUT realizing it was even about Game of Thrones!

Overkill - The Electric Age
2012 - Blitz and the boys return with another slab of excellent thrash.

Agua De Annique - Everything Is Changing
2012 - Anneke has and will always be my favorite vocalist.

Sabaton - Carolus Rex
2012 - More spectacular anthems from Sabaton. More of the same from Sabaton is never bad.

Arjen Anthony Lucassen - Lost In The New Real
2012 - Arjens voice is really maturing. Great prog.

As I Lay Dying - Awakened
2012 - Shocked at how much I liked this album. Straight out of left field.

Royal Thunder - CVI
2012 - Really loved this album. Nice and gritty Stoner Metal. Mlny's vocals are sublime.

2012 - A haunting and beautiful effort.

2012 - Cathedral Walls is one of my favorite songs of the year.

2012 - The riffs. My God. The riffs.

2012 - Damian Wilson = Prog Supremacy

The Agonist - Prisoners
2012 - Some may not like Alissa's vocals, but I love her voice and the musicianship is damn good.

2012 - Violins and Extreme Prog = Some sweet ass music.

The Haarp Machine - Disclosure
2012 - Really love the sound these guys have put together, I expect great things from them.

2012 - The second-best Disclosure album this year ;) A bit closer to the Anneke sound.

Xandria - Neverworld's End
2012 - Nightwish reborn! I liked Imaginareum but would rather hear them return to bombast.

2012 - Excellent slow-burn headbanging and the second-best stoner album of the year. Good stuff.

2012 - Great Lite-Melodic DM. Hooked me from the first song.

2012 - Fast. Angry. Heavy. Awesome.

2012 - Another one that hooked me from the onset. May not be original, but that's what prog is for.

Devin Townsend - Epicloud
2012 - Spiritual sequel of Addicted! but not quite as fantastic. That remake of Kingdom is Godly.
