Top Metal Albums Each Year I Have Been Alive 2009
A little list series where I list my top 20 favorite metal albums every year starting from the year I was born in.
2009 was one of the best, a lot of great release came out that year especially within black, Progressive and Death metal. Had to make some rough cuts so honorable mentions goes to: Róka Hasa Rádió by Thy Catafalque, Faith Divides Us - Death Unites Us by Paradise Lost, Evangelion by Behemoth, Liebe Ist Für Alle Da by Rammstein, Axe To Fall by Converge, The Great Misdirect by Between The Buried And Me, Endgame by Megadeth, Time Waits For No Slave by Napalm Death and In The Constellation Of The Black Widow by Anaal Nathrakh, over all a fantastic year.

This should be the final year where I am polluting your series of lists with my own assessments. I hope I was not too annoying. It is 2009, we are approaching a time where metal unfortunately lost me to a significant degree. I do not feel confident of saying whether any of the subsequent years from here on was a good one for metal or not. Anyway, nice idea for a series of lists you had here. Yah the 2010s wasn't the greatest decade for metal or rock music in general but there ware still some great releases I can't wait to revisit.

2009 was a fantastic year for metal, solely because it was the year that I got into metal

First it was Midori, now it's Mass Of The Fermenting Dregs, it's quite a shame that our tastes in metal don't seem to align because we do have some stuff in common outside of the genre

Thanks, and I hope you don't mind I checked your profile, and actually I'm a fan of many of the bands you listed and I mentioned them in previous lists especially dream theater and Windir. Its just for dream theater for example I just prefer there 90s output
