Only danger here for cats are cars, not wild animals. They take a lot of rats inside once even a duck , I woke up and saw dead duck at kitchen .

Of the 5 cats mum had during my lifetime, the 2 that spent most of their time either inside or in the back yard lived to 19 and 17/18. The 3 that liked to go exploring died much younger. 2 bit by snakes, one hit by a car

But why our cats survive from viper? or your snakes are more venomous? I dont like my cats go outside , but genrally my mothers are out year around even in minus 30 they do take a leak and take a shit , they have cat doors

The cat we had in the late 80s/90s was killed by a snake, mum found him dead on the footpath one day. The cat after that dissapeared, probably also bitten by a snake, just not somewhere where the body could be found
