Eminent Sleaze is not pop. It's just terrible. One of the worst songs I ever heard. 1/10 so far.

I really want to like this album, but I'm just not feeling it. King Ghost appeals to me, but the rest of what I've heard... not so much. I'll still buy it and give it a try though.

I actually liked "To The Bone" and don't think it's pop. More like easy listening psychedelic and prog rock. This one is way more poppy in melodies and songwriting.

I will give even such a bad SW album a 12-spin chance to grow on me, although it may be wasted time. The good thing is that it's only 42 minutes.

I need to give this one some more spins, but with the exception of 'Eminent Sleaze' (which is annoying like a song you hate and then gets stuck in your head) I enjoyed it. I wish he'd cut that one from the album and placed it on the B-Sides Collection and used any of those tracks instead. But there are some wonderful and interesting moments on the album. Too early for me to say whether it's his weakest, but I'd definitely say lower tier. 6.5

Since this is in an art pop category, give a listen to the 'West of Eden' album by HMLTD. That's art pop at its finest. 'The Future Bites' is art pop at its most boring.

Yeah, I can't say I'm surprised it's not a more popular record than this on a metal site. Wilson has always had an ear for melody and harmony. It's not his proggiest album (though still plenty prog in moments,) and definitely not his heaviest, but it's a very enjoyable listen for me.

I thought it was ok, needs more listens to sink in properly.

Great album, most people won't like it because he's doing something different.

"King Ghost" is shaping up to be my favorite song of the year so far.
