Considering it was only 3 years after Morbid Angel's debut, I'd say this is a damn fine death metal album. The overall production is very crushing and crisp, allowing for the riffs and specially the drum work to really shine. Plenty of thrashy moments and some crazy song-structures hidden here and there, so a far cry for the "primitive and bestial" sound of early extreme metal bands from South America. It's nice to see my home-country being present even back in the old days.
