This is by far the biggest influence of watchtower's second album, you can clearly hear passages that have been stolen, plus the album's name being a watchtower song and the obvious first track named repression and resistance, shouldn't this album be changed to prog / tech thrash instead ogf pure prog?

There is definitely a lot of prog thrash here, yeah. I would though not substitute the prog tag because there is also a lot of prog metal here. I would opt for an additional prog thrash tag.

Technical thrash also works.

I still enjoy this album, despite it being plagiarism of Watchtower. Like come on, Control and Resistance vs Repression And Resistance, you can't make this shit up.

Plagiarism is too harsh here, maybe "imitation" is a better word. Even influence.

For me "plagiarism" and "imitation" are for the most part synonymous, while "influence" is too broad in the context of Sieges Even/Watchtower shenanigans. But as I said, I still enjoy this album quite a bit, and to be honest, I'd kill for a modern day tech-thrash band trying to imitate Watchtower.

Plagiarism is theft, Imitation is creating something similar. Big difference IMO.

I use that word in purely colloquial manner. Obviously they didn't literally steal Watchtower's songs, while putting their own name under it.

OK, got it.
Although I will say some people use the word "rip off" too lightly. "Imitation" and "unoriginal" not good enough?!
