If you thought for a moment that technical death required German precision, or American directness, or Canadian brutality, well, you would be right. However, the creativity of French people is not to be underestimated.

There are some moments I really enjoy on the album, but the cleans fall a little flat for me, and the pacing of the album could be better in my opinion.

Strike 1 - unexpected and completely unnecessary saxophone on track 2
Strike 2 - the cleans don't pair with the music. I'm not opposed to cleans with this type of music but they're just off
Strike 3 - and more unnecessary saxophone later in the album.

Actually enjoying this quite a lot - could be a bit more fluid but got quite a lot of moments I'm really digging. It starts off a bit too tech-death for my liking, but after that, I'm finding a lot to dig in the more prog and melodic sections

Initially I dismissed this album as yet another generic tech death effort, a trap I feel their first two albums often fell into (albeit a few of the songs here as well). On this one however, I found catchy choruses, fun melodies, and I'm really enjoying the cleans, especially that floaty melody in the chorus of Autopoiesis
