A lot of bands fancy themselves as cinematic or epic, but very few bands manage to mirror the actual experience of a story. Wilderun so effortlessly drag you along for the ride, and Epigone rewards every bit of patience you give it.

This album has one excellent track - Passenger . Mostly are too dull and long for it to be considered more than a 7 for me. But progressive isn't really my cup of tea, so just my 2 cents. Not a bad album in any way but not as great as the one before.

I enjoyed this album a lot, for me Wilderun is like an evolved form of what Ghost Reveries Opeth era was, its nice to hear a band that writes music fluidly that flows nicely, everything and the kitchen sink thrown in there beautifully with a tad bit of chaos.

Every time I come back to this album's page, the rating gets lower and lower and I get sadder.

You just need to distance yourself from this and turn all your feelings to smoke and mist. #lifehack

The more I listen Epigone the more I like it. My favorite of them is still Sleep, but Epigone is getting closer.

I like Olden Tales but it's light years away from Epigone and the rest of their discography. The explanation I imagine is that the latest album has fewer hooks and the first listens can be more difficult to digest.

My favorite still keeps being Veil Of Imagination (MASTERPIECE), but this one is also great stuff, I felt it more progressive and personal.

Does anyone have the US version of the CD and if so does it work? I want to buy it but I heard some people’s copies didn’t work.

I bought it from Century Media US and had no problems with my copy (I received it a week ago). But I have also read of people with problems in AMG.

This album just doesn't do it for me, I find it rather dull. I find the second half more interesting than the first half of the album.

Turn that six upside down.

Turn that six upside down.

It's slightly grown on me, but I think it's one of those album's I need to be in the right mood for, I feel the same way about Opeth.

Meh. A very big disappointment. It's all over the place. The Veil of Imagination is just on another level compared to this one. Such a pity.

This is such a smooth album, not much metal though. Nice album to chill with. The lead singer sings like an angel.

Didn't quite reach the heights that Veil did for me (it was my album of the year for 2019), but still a fantastic record nonetheless.

Album has its moments but really just teases you for the most part. So often the songs just build and build and build without ever getting to any sort of payoff.

I still have this album on repeat, but only for the first four songs. Everything after that is bland.

Wait... You find over half the album (tracks wise) bland and still gave it a 9?

This album did very little for me back when it released, I was a fan of both their previous albums (still am). But damn, this one might actually be my favourite of theirs now. Mind-blowing music.

(Rating will be updated when I finish the album)

Edit: Yep. Absolute geniuses. I honestly don't know why it is, but this is my favourite of the three. They are all obviously incredible though, I like to think they're more or less equal. Guess I'll add them to the favourite bands list.
