Not bad, but I wish they re-recorded the whole inhumanity + Valley Of Sacrifice 1 and 2, instead of cherry picking songs from different albums.

The only non-Andy album I had listened to from these guy was The Unborn, so I immediately went and listened to this new version of "Pure". I think I prefer the orginal version a bit more, even tho the production on this album is... weird. Both "versions" of MPE is good, so I'm happy to have this compilation. Will rate after a few spins.

Well, this is obviously solid. You can tell Andy was either heavily inspired or learned from the early MPE albums because his writing and playing style is very similar to these tracks. That or he managed to sucessfully emulate the style on the albums he wrote. MPE is very consistant, no matter what era of the band you listen to. I'm now curious to see if the new stuff the guys will release will be as good as their older material.

The mixing is a muffled mess and they've ruined the keyboards. These re-recordings just makes me go back to the original albums instead. Still deserves a 6 because these songs are still some of the best they've done even though the production is subpar.

After a couple of listens only one bit that I noticed is a female parts on Pure, they should of take that from the original recording as it was done perfectly in there. All the rest I should admit can not stop listening to, especially Inhumanity songs

I think the main thing they lost when they fired Andy was his excellent orchestrations, on this album they are lackluster. Maybe they should hire Francesco Ferrini to orchestrate the next album, He always does a great job.
