I believe it is far lower from the level that the previous album, despite having the same direction in sound and songwriting.

There are portions of this where the higher range of Vindsval’s guitar tone really does sound like the buzzing or wing - flapping of some demented hive mind insect. “Trapped in a Xenomorph nest,” indeed. Fucking excellent
