Glad these guys got added Singles are a blast, excited for a diverse and unpredictable album.

Super varied album and enjoyable. A couple songs I don't think are mind-blowing but they're not bad -- mainly Euclid and Are You Really Okay? But tracks like Granite, The Summoning, Ascensionism, Rain, and the title track really show this group's range.

Variety of influences on this album. Drawing on such diverse, progressive and technical sounds from the likes of Drake, Ed Sheeran, and Imagine Dragons. But interrupted by the occasional djent riff.

Much better than their first two imo. The synth pop and trap beat parts now and then piss me off, but some songs are very close to solid the whole way through - "Vore" and "The Summoning" (barring the latter's forced funk outro). Upon relistens I find myself skipping tracks, and even at some points skipping ahead past annoying points, but it's definitely solid in the end. Looks like elitists have a new target too

Very nice record, although it sticks to the established formula. For the next one, I would like to see some new ideas and influences. Still, The Summoning, Vore, Ascensionism, Take me back to Eden and Euclid all are excellent tracks. Also it never gets old how people feel triggered by them. Hilarious.

Couldn’t agree more. On every album the metal parts sound like they tried to make them generic as possible. AI could’ve done this.

I feel like I'd give this a pass if this guy's vocals were actually good. Some melodies here that I really really like, it's just that his voice is pretty grating, especially during the more "woah woah" moments.

Very enjoyable listen, lots of variety and plenty of emotion and feeling throughout.

First album I've checked out of theirs, it was interesting, but not really enjoyable. It comes off at times much more as gimmicky instead of creative. Blending genres like this can be really cool, but I feel like they don't actually excel enough at any of them individually to make it work. I'd rather just listen to a good djent band, or alt r&b artist, or trap rapper, instead of listening to subpar versions blended together.

Wow, this band really bothers people, huh? I don't see this as any more "poppy" compared to the likes of Amaranthe for example.

Found this alright to listen to, considering the songs of theirs I'd tried prior to it I had found grating, but it's going to be a non-starter trying to get me to like all that much anything that has this kind of autotuny RnB as a significant feature

Oh man, the vocals are horrible here.

What the f is this? Why are they so popular? Is it because of Tik Tok? Ugh... they sound absolutely horrible. Laughably bad mix of different musical styles. Boring, empty, soulless. Pretty much like all mainstream pop music these days. I need to wash my ears asap.

It seems like this band has some strong divided opinions They have developed quite a huge following from some people who can't get enough of them, but some people really haven't taken to them. Now, after delving into this them myself, I can honestly say I belong to the latter.

I get it has many styles and influences, which I guess means they've tried to make something as original as possible, whilst using those various styles. However, the styles and influences featured, I personally don't like, in fact, some moments which I find unlistenable, and even feel borderline embarrassed when listening to certain parts. It's kinda mainstream pop influenced which I'm struggling with most, and the vocal style, well, I personally don't like in the slightest.

I understand the hype it's been receiving elsewhere on the net, I guess it's a style which strongly appeals to most modern listeners of today, but I like my traditional metal, call me a dinosaur, I simply can't take to this

Yeah it's not fully metal, but it certainly has enough moments that one can be excused for labelling it so. 'Pathetic attempt at metal' just sounds like you're miserable at the fact that people consider this metal.

It also makes little sense to reply to someone enjoying the album only to tell them it's 'not metal'.

Since I don't consider Sleep Token a metal band, calling them a future of metal is rather inappropriate. This is the only reason I replied to his post in the first place. No hard feelings.

Definitely not a Sleep Token stan, but I did enjoy Ascensionism, Rain, Take Me back To Eden, Are You Really Okay?, Chokehold and The Summoning. I know mainstream people are hyping them a lot, and that can be difficult for people like myself, a "hater" if you will, of most things mainstream; especially if it's mass-produced, generic, depthless, dross.

While some may call Sleep Token generic, I would argue that how they have mixed the different "generic" elements is, in fact, unique. Sure don't love em, but I did admittedly like this album.
