Okay, so Mechina have a new release that isn't on New Year's Day and it's a standalone track that's 18 minutes long. This feels extremely bloated because there isn't enough variation in the song to motivate its length. It's not bad at all and the production is impeccable as always, managing to sound both cosmic and bombastic with a heaviness to the sound that's even better with headphones on. The problem is that this formula is getting way to repetitive and making longer songs doesn't help at all.

I'll always check out a Mechina release just in case it scratches an itch for me, and pleasantly surprised that this one did! They've got a reputation now for their formula and how productive they are, but I actually quite like the formula when it just clicks. Very happy with the return of harsh vocals... "that they can also bleed" - chills!
