A truly bizarre album, not the least of which because of the unexpected but powerful pairing of Sakis Tolis and Bruce Fitzhugh on Hymn to Marduk II (my favorite track). If you can accept the idea of a ritualistic blackened doom Christmas album with random acoustic folk interludes, then there's a lot of atmosphere here to enjoy.
