The whole ‘releasing a double album/releasing two albums that each focus on a different aspect of a band’s sound’ concept is one that’s had contrasting outcomes across the history of metal. Not every attempt needs to be at the level of Deliverance/Damnation, but Blood Stain Child have rather missed the mark here.

I've really been slacking on the negative reviews this year, since I haven't found anything obvious to do one for, so thank you to Blood Stain Child for releasing a pair of very easy targets. It's crazy to imagine that this new double-release is only separated from Epsilon by 1 album (although it is also a 13-year gap); they've lost all of the irresistible catchiness, and traded it in for really tedious and irritating songwriting. Also, whoever decided to add so many male clean vocals on the two albums should've probably check first that their male clean vocalist could actually sing

Songwriting and sound selection are all over the place, sounds like a megalomaniac mushing their overly ambitious ideas together but severely exceeding their ability to make them work in cohesion.

And thank you for bringing these guilty pleasure albums to my attention! It's bad but in an entertaining way. And the music videos further enhance the experience, this should've been a parody tbh. (sorry BSC fans)

Good god, it's kind of unlistenable to me. I didn't mind Metalia but with Cyberia it's like everything that could have possibly gone wrong went wrong. Weak, muddy cleans; repetitive melodies; even the production is bad. I wanted to like it, damn it!

This goes into "it's so bad it's funny territory". Very fun, pure shit.

This is a one of a kind horrible album, I don't think I could write something so bad even on purpose, there is nothing to appreciate here musically and yet it is a pure 10/10 when it comes to enjoyment, I'm in love

this are my thoughts also.. it's so outside of what music is that is almost a feature in itself
