A pretty nice collection of ballads -- which I guess the album title suggests .

Yes, it's mostly collection of old songs with some new material. In 90s, as you may know, ballads were very popular, so many bands released albums like this. Many people who were not interested in metal could like this and from what I see on last.fm this album is their most popular.
From this album I like "Głos z Ciemności" - it's one of my favourites songs of them from "Oddech wymarlych swiatow" - which I consider as their best and almost flawless album (I listened it maybe 100 times). Their second best is "666", it's polish version of "Metal and Hell", which I slightly prefer, because of vocals and lyrics.
Good band, very inspired by Metallica, but with more raw and primitive sound.

P.S. I've seen that you listened almost all their albums. Respect

I have. I was curious about them a couple of months ago, didnt hear anything from them before. Found some interesting moments on their earlier albums, not much more though.

Well, I sometimes do the same with some obscure bands listening something usually 1-2 times or more if it's good enough, but usually I listen only what is considered as best albums, which usually are only early albums of the band. I think that you rated it quite well. "Oddech wymarłych światów" was one of the first metal albums I've listened, so I'm not quite objective here.

I happen to do the same too often.
But often it is not the early albums that are considered best.
In these cases I want to start at the debut and at least get as far as the "considered best albums". Then see how much more they grab me if I have the patience to continue on the "downwards path":

Nja but this is more made for polish speakers, somehow ballad works out more if you understand what they sings about

While it is certainly made more for polish speaking people it appears to be still nice enough for my non-polish-speaking ass. I dont need to understand all the lyrics here to enjoy the music.
