When this album was released I thought it to be one of the best ambient albums I'd ever heard. Now with further listening I thnk that's a bit of an overstatement, but there are moments on 'Ki' where Devin really excels as a musician. 'Disuptr', 'Heaven Send' and the ever so tense title track are all stellar.

I bought the project albums in 3, 4, 2, 1 order (listening to Ki for the 1st time). This one sounds like a mix of Ghost and Deconstruction.

Why does Devin always write one or two fantastic tracks (Coast and Disruptr) followed by all these mediocre ones (imo ofc).

Edit: perhaps not mediocre, but they certainly feel like filler relative to what he's capable of...

'Disuptr', 'Heaven Send' and the ever so tense title track are all stellar.

Then there's Coast and Trainfire. Trainfire, especially. God, I love that one.
