I'm So Good, I Can Relate To That Album!
I'm So Good, I Can Relate To That Album!
I'll be introducing some albums people can possibly relate to, either because of the music, or the lyrics that people find more personal than others. Also included are my personal favorites.

1.
40 Watt Sun
- The Inside Room
"If we were alone on this earth,or even away from here, it would be easy to let myself go, and God knows I want to."
2.
Abandon
- The Dead End
Heed my warning: do not proceed further, for you soul can be tainted by the beauties of the dark side.
3.
Acid Bath
- When The Kite String Pops
Sick, twisted images repeated in my mind. A must-listen for Sludge fans.
4.
Antimatter
- Fear Of A Unique Identity
I don't find it too difficult to have something in common with this album.
8.
Collapse Under The Empire
- Find A Place To Be Safe
imagine being lost in a dream that has no specific climaxes at all, relying on texture instead to keep you puzzled and intoxicated.
10.
Cult Of Luna
- Somewhere Along The Highway
Deals with the subject of solitude. Not your typical my-beloved-is-gone-and-I-die-in-the-forest type of doom metal album.
11.
Dan Gibson's Solitudes
- Sleep Deeply
Perfect for sleeping.
12.
Devin Townsend
- Ki
If you happen to be so bored with having inner struggles after listening to the previous album, you may find sobriety and peace.
15.
Epic45
- Weathering
Imagine a gloomy landscape, taken away from you while you're blinded by the haze.
16.
Fabrizio Paterlini
- Autumn Stories
Weeks of melancholy.
19.
Fen
- Dustwalker
Just listened to it this morning. Sounds a lot promising to be added to my collection.
20.
Ghost Brigade
- Isolation Songs
Probably the most personal album I've ever heard. Melancholic and sad at some point, but it's not however, bleak or devoid of hope.
21.
22.
Ikuinen Kaamos
- Fall Of Icons
It actually came to me at a terrible time when I was suffering from anxiety issues and it drove me further into insanity, but I had good memories nonetheless.
23.
In The Silence
- A Fair Dream Gone Mad
Ignore the huge buzz, and also the harsh criticism directed at it. They deserve it, hands down.
25.
Junius
- Reports From The Threshold Of Death
A daring effort from one of Boston's finest bands. Dealing with the subject of death, spirituality and a journey into the limbo.
26.
Mono
- For My Parents
The last post-rock album I really enjoyed since I stopped listening to post-rock.
27.
Primordial
- Redemption At The Puritan's Hand
I never understood why I'm putting this album here. But for Nemtheanga's sake, it was a "faith and failure" tale executed perfectly.
31.
Stomach Earth
- Stomach Earth
Crushing, massive death/doom material. Funny how Mike Mckenzie, a tech-death metaller, has a way with slow-paced doom music.
32.
Summoning
- Old Mornings Dawn
EPIC, as in, masterpiece. It's gonna be a serious contender for Album of the Year Awards.
33.
Sylvan
- Sceneries
Glimmering prog rock.
34.
The Alan Parson's Project
- Eye In The Sky
Sorry Pink Floyd, I'd prefer AP over you.
36.
The Cure
- Disintegration
Yeah I know it's a sin to add them here.
39.
Vàli
- Skogslandskap
Nocturnally acoustic.
42.
Wolverine
- Communication Lost
Suddenly you feel unattached from the society once you realize how futile your obsessions and habits are.
