Hopefully, it's already the final release date.

It seems that this album will be as weak as the last one. First album was great, the second one is candy death metal.

THIS ALBUM IS GOOD.

This album is Soooo good. clean and tight. a must fucking have

New album is pathetic. Sweet, candy death metal. It sound so... gay :/ Waste of time. 5/10 for musicanship.

I'll listen to it in a while. Hope I like it.

Nowadays all of you stupid fucking kids think you know what the word is but about 30% of you can even read music. ...And Time Begins was diarrhea compared to Diminishing and Polarity. You think just because a song is heavy or fast, it gives it "good musicianship". Fuck you, most metal nowadays is lacking in all elements of great musicallity. If you want music that has great musicianship, listen to Pat Metheny or Weather Report. Learn something about music or get a fucking degree in music theory and THEN comment and criticize great albums. At least then you'll have some support behind your criticism. Decrepit Birth's Polarity is great, the vocals aren't great and they do go over the top on guitar solos, but the album still sodomizes a majority of every other release in the past 10 years.:banger2:

As far as I'm aware, the reviewers here are generally enthusiasts/amateurs, including myself.

although our ratings on the album are different, i kinda have to agree with VezzyRattleHead , we are all enthusiasts here! just voicing our opinions, whether good or bad, just accept it!

You want musicanship?? listen to new Wromed EP, to "Paradogma" or Defeated Sanity album. There is musicanship and brutality. Decrepit Birth offers me only incredible musicanship but it lacks what death metal should have: heaviness, brutality, kick in the face and dirt!!

Seriously, this is the kind of metal I like the most.. This one just kicks my ass everytime I listen to it, in my opinion one of the best death metal albums of last years. And I liked "Majesty and Decay" and "Heirs to Thievery".

Better album then live but still amazing depth and complexity. Thank you Decrepit Birth for slipping in tracks with no vocals. Metal is the new classical music. The technical side of the album needs no overlay. Although they had over 5 different subs and changes they still seemed to make a cohesive blend that is understandably one of the best releases of the year. Kudos to Bill for holding it together and not letting down the fans. The delay was worth the wait!!!

Good album, but somehow its boring

The best death metal release from last year was imo 'servants' from 'by the patient' or 'heirs to thievery' those two dominates my playlist

What if the band was just trying to create "good" music and they didn't care about making pure Death Metal. Im listening to it right now and they're all clearly accomplished musicians and they've got their own sound. It definitively does sound very later era Death with the harmonies, but its still a killer album so far. I don't understand the low ratings.

If you're going to rate an album, you can't really rate it based purely on whether or not it conforms to your musical tastes or a specific genre. For example, I wouldn't buy a sludge album and rate it a 2 because I don't like Sludge and because it didn't have some of the traits I have come to like in other aspects of metal. Consequently, I wouldn't really rate (or buy) a prog/tech death album if I only really liked pure, raw, death metal.

So far, I'd give the album about an 8/10.

But I can judge very negative group, which presented on its debut great brutal death, which is a genre I really like. And then go with something that completely differs from what they played for the first time and from what I like. Next - they are described as Technical / Brutal Death Metal, which also makes me interested in, but staying completely disappointed with the sound, compositions, etc..
I like technical and brutal death metal, but in another form. Great examples are Origin, the previously mentioned Wormed, Defeated Sanity, Hideous Deformity, etc. . From a purely technical and less violent example, Decapitated, Cryptopsy (except the last album).
In fact, no judge, and not interested in the species, for whom simply do not like, for example, vast majority of black metal, sludge which you are writing or doom.

Nothing fancy. Not very 'brutal'. In fact, it is very melodic.

Good musicianship, but lacking in the songwriting.
The first track is pretty good though, I might add.

I really like Decrepit Birth, but really the songwriting is their biggest flaw. I feel like listening to the same thing over and over, lots of recycled melodies, lots of nonsensical breaks, the same double kick rolls, the same blastbeats... And the sanre is so compreseed here it's not even funny. Still noteworthy for the dual guitarwork, but a bit disappointing.
