The arty production from Bob Ezrin (who had been delivering the goods for Alice Cooper) starts with an intro and ends with an outro, and the whole is more than the sum of its parts, as on a song-by-song basis Love Gun is probably better, though there are no real disappointments here. God of Thunder is one highlight, the other one is Beth, the original power ballad.
I've had a very very special connection with this album since the first time I heard it, probably 12 years old, maybe even 11... Yet another album and band that I think makes me who I am today when it comes to music and metal!
So many amazing good songs on here that imo stand the test of time.
I have gone through almost their entire discography these days.
Why would I do that? Honestly, I dont really know. I like to have things done, once I start doing something.
Be able to compare albums to eachother when I rate them.
Bottom line:
1.) I cant recommend anybody to go through their entire discography.
2.) This one here might be my favourite album of them. Not that it is extraordinary or so. Just slightly better than the debut and some others. God of Thunder probably contributes significantly.
Any other hightlight...? Not really. But this album is spinable throughout.

This made me chuckle quite a bit.
Kudos for your perseverance.
I have also listened to all their albums, although the last couple of them just once, just being curious.
Destroyer is a good album, although rather overrated if you ask me.

I thought the two primary purposes for the internet were cat memes and overreactions.
Well, dont think that I even for a second thought of spinning most of their albums more than once.
I enjoyed their music for a while, starting when I was a teenager, I liked Paul Stanley's vocals, I had a few cassettes back then that I played quite a bit (there is a compilation called Smashes Thrashes and Hits that is enough for anyone who wants to see what the fuss is about Kiss).
What has often annoyed me about them is the constant drama that has always happened with them. Even before having the internet info at my fingertips, stories would surface from time to time.

Kiss get a lot more shit than they deserve, but one would really be out of their mind to consider listening to all of their albums. But honestly don't bother with full albums either, just listen to their live ones and their singles.
---- Do you think if the heart keeps on shrinking
One day there will be no heart at all?
Detroit Rock City and God Of Thunder were quite good songs, arguably the best two song's Kiss ever did, but the rest of the album is lame, and Beth is an an atrocious ballad imo.
