Finland was always a cradle to many proficient and at the same time creative bands, but do you recall hearing good symphonic heavy/prog-power metal from over there? Apart from a very few obvious names, it isn't really an easy question, right? Lots of melodic/death/power metal and gothic formations are coming from that edge of Europe, but not many bands on the path taken by Symphony X, Circus Maximus, or Shadow Gallery. Solid album, "Haven of Grace" is probably the highlight for me. Turned out Jari Kuokkanen from Teräsbetoni is the drummer. Edit: Sorry, not solid... excellent!

Great discovery for me. I agree with the above praise, it's a quality prog album with Symphony X pre-Paradise Lost elements which is a big plus for me. Of course the solos are not on the level of Michael Romeo or something equivalent and I am missing catchy song/choruses even though prog doesn't need that, Symphony X, Pagan's Mind, Dream Theater etc... have created great prog with some catchiness as well.
