Three years after the release of their elegiac and magnificent "Omnium Obmutum" Estatic Fear returned with another album filled with intense emotions and inspiration. The name of it "A Sombre Dance" and for one more time this Austrian act managed to give a title fitting with the atmosphere of the compositions in the most ideal way. Indeed the album is "a sombre dance" while you lose yourself dancing, manoeuvring in the esotericism of melancholy and visions that come forth from tales of medieval sorrow and grief.

She was only a guest vocalist in this album. Ex-female vocals of Draconian, Lisa Johansson, used to have a very similar voice, her voice is epic

It's nice but a bit boring. I don't think that is has deserved a place among the Top 200 of all time.

Excellent album. Only outreached by a single comparable album.... their masterpiece: the predecessor.
Boring? Naah, I wouldnt say that. It has some moments where they take their time. But there is continously so much variation in instruments and melodies that they never get boring for me. Aside and obviously, beautiful female vocals all over the place.
Oh how I wish we would have been blessed by more from this band. Highlights: Chps I, IV, IX.

Bad English

Another master album, if previous one was more death/doom this is Gothic doom , whit great female guest vocalist. It is like Austria has great classic music history, this is modern day classical music. This is briliant masterpiece, sad that it has no real song titles, its let down, but small one.

I stand whit Ukraine and Israel. They have right to defend own citizens.
