Yeah I'm listening. EoY went a lot more drony in this, compared to what I have heard already. I preferred Thaw's part. It's great though.

Yeah I've been familiar with Echoes of Yul for ages now but they never sounded all that droney even though they seemed to be described as such. Here though they sound like something that would interest me.

Haha, that's exactly why I didn't like EoY's part. I myself have seen them being given the drone tag many times without reaaaally understanding why. I only listened to what they did in splits, maybe their only full length is drone, perhaps you should check that.

Thinking about it I might have only heard the debut. If I recall it sounded like sludge metal. Will have an investigate of the rest of their stuffs.

Yes, I have a notebook here on which I wrote "Echoes Of Yul - Sludge/doom/ambient (drone?)". Oh and I have to correct what I have said, I listened to the debut, and the 3-way split. I unfortunately forgot to note what I thought of the debut. I guess I have that one and the second album to listen to now.

Takes a while to get going. Thaw's side reminds me of "Counting Bodies Like Sheep to the Rhythm of the War Drums" by A Perfect Circle. The Echoes stuff bored me up until about the 15-minute mark. Left feeling underwhelmed and like I just wasted 3/4 of an hour.
