A very solid album with some outstanding ambitious tracks and some which are by comparison much less effective. That said my main problem with the album is how the vocals half the time feel too forceful as opposed to just seeming natural...but then I guess I should have expected that walking into a hardcore album. Nonetheless, the highlights are practically obvious for me-"In Circles" and "Depression" particularly impressed me.

*Sigh*. The vocals are actually quite distinctive than most things you hear in modern hardcore punk, be it Swedish or otherwise. So I don't understand why you compare that to what the whole genre has to offer.
I don't even know where the complaint comes from to be honest. The lyric delivery is actually the best thing about this band, and calling it "forced" seems weird to me. Maybe you just don't like rappy/raspy crossover-like vocals, but in their field they feel pretty natural.

Indeed - probably the most boss hardcore vocals I've ever heard.

I agree, the vocals make this band and album not break it. Although this album sounds a bit less inspired than their older work, it doesn't have the same raw edge to it.

That's 100% right. It's almost too clean, both in terms of performance and production. It's still enjoyable because it is still very Raised Fist. Maybe too much,
